Peter M. Collins, CEO and President of A2B Tracking Solutions
Peter M. Collins is founder, CEO and President of A2B Tracking Solutions, Inc. Peter has consulted on the streamlining of operations in many industries including all areas of the Department of Defense. Collins led the effort when United Parcel Service (UPS) contracted with A2B to develop the UPS Trackpad® parcel tracking system. Since IUID was mandated in 2003 Collins has worked closely with the DoD’s IUID policy office. In support of IUID and under his leadership A2B developed the UID Comply!® data management software and UC! Web™ browser-based software for enterprise level, item unique identification and asset tracking. He was awarded the prestigious ID Global Leadership Award in 2009 for his role in worldwide IUID adoption. As former Vice President of AIM (Automatic Identification and Mobility) he was a founding member of the UID Suppliers Alliance Committee and is active on the IoT (Internet of Things) Committee. During the past three years Collins has acted as Program Director, providing oversight of managerial support and execution for the massive, enterprise-wide Air Force part marking effort as well as similar projects for the US Army and Navy. Collins holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island.
Timothy M. Collins, COO and Executive Vice President
Timothy M. Collins is COO and Executive Vice President for A2B Tracking Solutions. Tim oversees all operations, technical support, order fulfillment, customer service and the professional services teams. He is also in charge of all contracting and the day-to-day operations from production, to vendor management, to finance. He has extensive experience in every facet of IUID, including policy. His view of customer needs and concerns is first-hand, having overseen the installation of IUID systems for many A2B customers, including DoD suppliers and the military services. As Co-Program Director for worldwide military contracts, he has overseen field operations and manufacturing as well as the fulfillment of all contractual obligations. Tim holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Salem State University.
Darryl S. Layne, Vice President of Technology
As Vice President of Technology, Darryl is responsible for aligning overall technology and services direction and IT infrastructure with the company’s business strategy. Darryl has more than 25 years of experience in the information technology and engineering disciplines. Formerly Mr. Layne was with Iron Mountain where he built his career as a senior IT/engineering executive. While at Iron Mountain he designed and led high performance teams in the development of new software products and sales channels. Mr. Layne is a certified ITIL practitioner and he holds a Master of Science Degree in Computer Science from the Carroll Graduate School of Management at Boston College.
Susan Brady, Director of Sales
As Director of Sales, Susan oversees A2B’s sales initiatives, effectively articulating and demonstrating the company’s value to prospective customers. She heads a team of experienced business development managers in ongoing efforts to drive revenue growth for A2B within the industries we serve. A visionary and change agent who builds and sustains a sense of urgency to affect positive sales results, Susan is committed to bringing customer-focused methodologies and technologies together to deliver optimal solutions for organizations spanning the commercial, government and military sectors. Prior to joining A2B, Susan was Sales Director at Anvil Cloud Solutions in Worcester, MA; and was the SMB Sales Manager for Oracle/Higher Education and Healthcare in Burlington, MA. She attended Westfield State College in Massachusetts, where she earned an undergraduate degree in psychology and education, and holds a Master’s degree in psychology and counseling from Assumption College.
Sue Imhoff, Director of Product Management and Marketing
As Director of Product Management and Marketing, Sue leads A2B’s development and execution of strategic product plans and corporate marketing. Sue brings over 25 years of experience delivering award-winning products to market in roles from product development, product management and product marketing to marketing communications and sales. Sue joins A2B Tracking from Jenzabar, a leading provider of software, strategies and services developed exclusively for higher education where she worked to drive product management and product marketing for ERP and CRM software products. Additionally Sue has worked in the digital video and audio editing and streaming industry as well as the defense industry at RCA/GE Government Systems Division and Raytheon. Sue holds a BSEE, Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Washington.
Robert T. Carpenter, Director of Solution Engineering
Robert T. Carpenter leads product development to drive growth and the success of both A2B and our customers. With over 30 years of experience and innovation, Robert has designed and developed information systems, guided organizations large and small through generational upgrades, and driven deployment and adoption of robust, enterprise-wide data collection solutions. As the principal architect of A2B’s cloud-based automated identification-driven data management products, Robert employs modern and next-generation application lifecycle management techniques and methodologies.
Gary Schuerfeld, Program Manager
As A2B’s Program Manager, Gary is responsible for oversight on all A2B IUID government services contracts to support large-scale marking and data capture projects. He was recently named in an IUID Team Excellence Award from the IUID Program Office of the Department of Defense. Prior to joining A2B Tracking, Gary served as Director of Strategic Programs at Materials Sciences Corporation (MSC), where he was responsible for developing composite applications for military platforms. He was also Director of Military Programs at TPI Composites, Inc. A mechanical engineer, Schuerfeld has extensive experience in manufacturing for the military, having held senior roles in program, operations and production management.
David J. Collins, Chairman of A2B Tracking Solutions Board of Directors
David J. Collins is Chairman of A2B Tracking Solutions Board of Directors and AIT Consultant.As chairman, Mr. Collins oversees business long-term strategy and also consults to IUID customers with complex enterprise-wide system challenges. As a bar code pioneer and founder of Computer Identics Corp., the first company to patent and manufacture bar code scanners, David is widely recognized as an expert in automatic identification technology (AIT). He holds four patents related to bar code and is author of the popular book, “USING BAR CODE – Why It’s Taking Over” released in 1991. Due to his extensive knowledge and experience in AIT, David was invited to participate on the DoD/IUID integrated product team (IPT). During his long career David has overseen the design of over 2500 bar code installations around the globe. Mr. Collins is a co-founder of AIM and a charter member of the AIDC 100. As head of A2B subsidiary, Data Capture Institute, Mr. Collins regularly conducts IUID web seminars which have been attended by more than 2,000 contractors, Government, and military personnel. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Villanova University and a Master of Science Degree in Industrial Management from the MIT Sloan School.
