About Peter Collins’ Seminars at RFID Journal LIVE!
Mr. Collins will host three different seminars during the RFID Journal LIVE! as part of the Data Capture Workshop presented in partnership with AIM. On Thursday, May 11th Peter Collins will be part of a panel to discuss: Auto-ID Standards and Regulations — What you need to know. This interactive session will address the different standards and regulations being developed by the DoD, FDA and other organizations and will explain what you need to know about creating and reporting RFID-compliant data to these separate agencies.
The Data Capture Workshop discussion will continue beyond the Auto-ID regulations as Peter Collins hosts his second session: Data Integration Options – Making it all work together. Mr. Collins will discuss the challenges that companies face when trying to integrate existing Auto Identification formats with RFID-compliant formats. Methods and tools for data translations will be discussed along with approaches for managing the increased data burden. Mr. Collins will also be part of a panel discussion to address RFID Deployment Best Practices. Mr. Collins will share his experience over the past decade with overcoming hardware implementation hurdles, tagging and labeling challenges, back-end issues and other critical aspects for RFID asset tracking system deployments.

Peter Collins, A2B Tracking President and CEO, has worked with many industries, including the Department of Defense, on Auto ID policy development and implementation. He has played a key role as a consultant to the DoD in the Department’s effort to adopt the use of IUID and RFID technology in 2004. He received the ID Global Leadership Award in 2009 for his role in worldwide adoption of IUID, and is an active participant in IUID and RFID industry trade associations.
